Day two of Phriendly Physics saw a continuation of our exploration of the mechanics of motion. We conducted experiments in collisions. We also explored how wind energy can be used to move objects. In the afternoon we made a simple machine station using PVC pipe. It allowed us to rig a pulley system that showed how a mechanical advantage was gained when you rigged several pulleys together. We also went on a field trip to the Linac Accelerator and Wilson Hall.
